discharging a common debt: but when
he promised that Emily should spend two
months every summer with her. and her
family, he felt that he was evincing his gra-

wished; and its approximation to the
spot so dear to them all, gave it another
charm to their hearts.
The gentle manners,and retiring graces
of Isabel, soon attracted the admiration of
