No More Learning

glory of beating the French to-morrow; and, while the oars
struck the river as it rippled in the silence of the night air under
the flowing tide, he           :-
« The boast of heraldry, the pomp of power,
And all that beauty, all that wealth e'er gave,
Await alike the inevitable hour -
The paths of glory lead but to the grave.
