of our subjects"; many a well-meaning minor
prince abused his dominions by the new-fangled
physiocratic system of taxation, by all sorts
of unripe philanthropic experiments, and the
Oettingen- Oettingen -Landesdirektorium had to
give the inquisitive reigning prince an accurate
account of the "names, breed, use, and external
appearance" of the           dogs to be found in
princely lands, besides "additional, unpresuming,
most humble advice.
