Those feathered warblers, the thrushes or black birds --so often celebrated in Ossianic song1--had made the dells and brakes around Glenasmoil and Tallagh resound with dulcet melody, while spring and summer breezes loaded the air with agreeable perfume from mountain herbs and shrubs.
