No More Learning

In his view the divine attributes do not denote any distinc- tions in God, or even so much as an objective difference his           to the world which would be to conceive God as a multitude of functions, and therewith, Schleiermacher thinks, to bring God into the region of antitheses but they denote only the various modes in which we refer our feeling of depen dence to God, different aspects in which God's causality (in itself simple) presents itself to our consciousness.
